On February 18th, Florida FFA members from across the state gathered in Tallahassee for a day at the Capitol. This educational event provided students the opportunity to tour various parts of the city, as well as the Florida Historic Capitol Museum and the current Capitol building. FFA members also visited with their legislators to share their views about the importance of agriculture and the positive impact it bears on their lives. Aside from personal meetings, students were able to watch legislators in action on the floor of the Senate and House of Representatives. This experience embodied the substance of the FFA Motto which reads, “Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve.” For more information on the Florida FFA Foundation, visit https://www.flaffa.org/.
